Ordering repeat prescriptions
You can order repeat prescriptions using the tear off slip attached to their last prescription. Simply tick the items you require and put in the box in reception.
If you have lost your tear off slip, write the medication you require on a piece of paper along with your name, address and date of birth.
Alternatively, you can order medication online either through our website or via the NHS app. Please speak to reception about registering for this service.
If you struggle to order your medication please speak to your local pharmacy to see if they can do this for you.
Please do not phone to order medication, this cannot be taken over the telephone!
Please hand your prescription request into us at least 48 hours before the due date.
We will send your medication to your nominated pharmacy 48 hours before the
due date.
Please check directly with your Pharmacy for collection or delivery times.
Nominated Pharmacy
You can nominate a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to either using the NHS app or by letting the reception team know. For more information visit: Nominating a pharmacy – NHS App help and support – NHS
Pharmacy First
Since 31 January 2024, almost all Community Pharmacies in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have been offering the Pharmacy First service. This service includes the NHS Community Pharmacy Consultation service and, if needed, NHS medicines to treat seven common health conditions:
- Urinary tract infection (water infection) in women aged 16-64 years. Information about symptoms.
- Sinusitis in those aged 12 years and over. Information about symptoms.
- Sore throat in those aged 5 years and over. Information about symptoms.
- Impetigo (a type of skin infection) in those aged over 1 year. Information about symptoms.
- Shingles in those 18 years and over. Information about symptoms.
- Ear ache in children 1 -17 years (note: cannot be provided by distance selling pharmacies). Information about symptoms.
- Infected Insect bite in those aged over 1 year. Information about symptoms.
If you have symptoms that suggest any of these conditions your GP practice may refer you to this service, or you can walk into your local pharmacy and ask how they can help you.
